Make some holiday treats with 4-H and Barclay Public Library

DECATUR, Ill. – The hustle and bustle of the holidays is just around the corner. Decorating the house and baking treats are all part of the busyness of the season. Children especially enjoy baking and decorating cookies, so Barclay Library and DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt 4-H are co-hosting a free Holiday Baking Workshop on ZOOM for area youth.

Join Macon County 4-H Program Coordinator Olivia for The Holiday Baking Workshop with Barclay Library. This ZOOM event will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 19.  Participants will learn baking techniques, practice measuring skills, and make some holiday cookies to give as gifts or to keep for home.

A limited amount of ingredient kits are available upon request. Register for this event by calling Barclay Library at (217) 672-3621 or visit the library to register in-person. Requests for ingredient kits should be made at the time of registration. Pick-up for ingredient kits will be December 16 at Barclay Library located at 220 Main St., Warrensburg.  A ZOOM link will be emailed closer to the day of the event.

If you will need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please email owarren@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your access need.
