In a delightful ode to the forthcoming spring, the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners of Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties proudly announce the return of the highly anticipated "Ready…Set…Grow…" gardening workshop. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 23, 2024, as green thumbs and budding enthusiasts are invited to gather at the Loveland Community Building, 513 W 2nd St., Dixon, from 9 a.m. to noon.

This year's event promises to be an enriching experience, featuring a captivating keynote address by Tyler Hagemann, the horticulturist behind Hagemann Horticulture in Oregon, IL. Tyler's presentation, titled "Blooms of Brilliance: Nurturing Annuals for a Vibrant Garden," is set to unveil the most captivating and cutting-edge blooms destined to grace the landscapes of 2024.

The Ready…Set…Grow… workshop is not just a presentation; it's an immersive journey into the world of gardening. Participants will have the opportunity to attend two breakout sessions tailored to their interests. From "Next Level Seed Starting" to "Crafting Your Own Blend at The Tea Garden Experience," the workshop offers a diverse range of topics to cater to every gardening passion.

In addition to the knowledge shared, attendees will receive a swag bag filled with gardening goodies, explore the "book nook" for literary inspiration, and stand a chance to win exciting door prizes. The Master Gardener Help Desk will be available for personalized advice and guidance.
