Trade Up, Trade In at Master Gardener Great Garden Swap

MONTICELLO – Too many hostas? Tired of tomatoes? Join the Piatt County Master Gardeners on September 14 for the fourth-annual Great Garden Swap. Gardeners are invited to bring their inside and outside plants, homegrown produce and horticulture books and magazines to trade with other gardeners for new-to-you items.

The swap is free and will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14 at the Forest Preserve Park Pavilion, 1411 N. Market St., Monticello. Check-in items starting at 8:30 a.m. The public is also invited to attend a presentation at 10 a.m. on fall gardening tasks called Putting the Garden to Bed.

All plants must be identified before being traded. Fill out this Plant ID form in advance. Forms will also be available at the swap or by calling the Piatt County Extension Office at (217) 762-2191.
