Morrison, Ill. – University of Illinois Extension is proud to introduce the Coffee Talk Series, a new initiative designed to facilitate the sharing of regional and local knowledge about conservation practices that will help us make progress towards our Nutrient Loss Reduction goals. This program offers valuable information and provides a platform for farmers to discuss implementation in the field, connect, and learn from each other.
The series' first session will take place on June 27 at the Whiteside County Farm Bureau office in Morrison. Participants can look forward to a panel discussion facilitated by educators from Extension, NRCS, Pheasants Forever, and Merge Impact. These experts will provide insights on conservation practices and “edge-of-field” nutrient loss management practices. An interactive discussion will follow the presentations, allowing attendees to engage with the panel and ask questions.
"We are excited to launch this series and provide a space for farmers and community members to come together and discuss these important topics," said Talon Becker of University of Illinois Extension. "Our goal is to promote sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the agricultural community."
Refreshments will be provided during the event.
