Visual Arts 4-H club starts in Sterling on Saturdays in March

 

STERLING, Ill-Youth Ages 8-13 will be more art savvy following a six-week workshop offered by University of Illinois Extension. Classes begin 10 a.m.-Noon Saturday, March 7 and continue to meet March 14, 28 and April 4, 18, 25 at the Whiteside County Extension Office in Sterling.  This new visual arts club will focus on the following topics:

Week 1: Van Gogh- Together we are better! 

Week 2: Mandala Mania- History and Technique to create beautiful designs.

Week 3: Grow crazy for flowers-Pottery project and planting seeds.

Week 4: Tie Dye and Design-Use natural as well as synthetic dyes.

Week 5: Face painting 101-Learn how to face paint. 

Week 6: Light up your world-DIY Lanterns.
