Youth Naturalist Program Offered in Pecatonica

Learn about nature at Wee Nats (Wee Naturalists), a fun interactive program for youth ages 4-7. Youth will learn about different environmental education topics through a story, activity, craft, and hike. University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Educator Kelly Lafferty will offer the program on the second Monday of the month at the Pecatonica Library, 400 W 11th Street #400, Pecatonica. Each program will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. An adult must stay with the youth during the program. 

Program dates and topics include:

  • September 9 -Super Soil
  • October 14–Owls
  • November 11-Fallen Log
  • December 9 –Turtles 
  • January 13-Sensational Snow
  • February 10-Groundhogs
  • March 10–Trees
  • April 14–Birds 
  • May 12–Wetlands

Please dress according to the weather as we will spend time in nature.
