
Jamie Boas provides leadership to the 4-H youth development program focusing on 4-H clubs, 4-H groups and the youth education initiatives identified as state and local priorities in DeWitt and Piatt counties. Boas joined University of Illinois Extension in 2007. Teaming with local 4-H program coordinators, community workers and volunteers, she plans, conducts and evaluates programs that are consistent with the needs of local youth.
Boas graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in health studies and from St. Louis University with a master's degree in public health with an emphasis in behavior science and health education. She is a Real Colors® Certified Facilitator sponsored by the National Curriculum and Training Institute (NCTI).
She is a native of Champaign County, where she was a 10-year 4-H member prior to leaving for college.
She is a member of the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA) and the Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education (IEPYE).
