Martha Ebbesmeyer, M.S., serves as the University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development educator for Carroll, Lee and Whiteside counties. She provides programmatic leadership to the 4-H youth program. She returned to University of Illinois Extension in May 2015, following 12 years of leadership with the Stephenson County Agriculture in the Classroom program. Previously, she served Illinois Extension as a 4-H coordinator in Stephenson and a 4-H educator in Winnebago counties.

In her current role, Ebbesmeyer provides positive youth development opportunities to youth between the ages of five and eighteen, educational training for 4-H volunteers and support for four youth staff members. Educational programs that she provides in the school include Health Jam, team building, Real Colors and Welcome to the Real World. Additional educational support is provided to the Northwest 4-H Camp counselor team, Science Siesta, 4-H summer day camp programs and 4-H youth gardens.

Ebbesmeyer attended the University of Missouri – Columbia and received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science.

She is a member of the Illinois Extension Professionals for Youth Education (IEPYE), and National Association of 4-H Youth Development Professionals. She is currently serving as the state treasurer for IEPYE.
