Molly Johnson began her role as Agriculture and Natural Resources Coordinator in January 2025. Molly has a master’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from University of Illinois and a bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University. In this role, Molly fosters the growth of the Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists programs. She is also charged with coordinating educational programs for people of all ages in topics such as natural resources and the environment.
Prior to her current role, Molly worked as the Carroll County 4-H Program Coordinator for 3 years, as well as has 5 years of experience working at a local greenhouse. She was also a former Whiteside County 4-H’er. Molly looks forward to getting youth and adults outside in nature, connecting with members of the community, and supporting Illinois Extension volunteers.
Molly enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and 2 dogs. When the weather is fit, she likes to garden, as well as go hiking and camping.
