Nancy Kuhajda is the Extension Program Coordinator for the areas of Agriculture and Natural Resources.with the University of Illinois Extension in Will County. Nancy coordinates the Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and Master Composter Programs. Nancy began as a Master Gardener Volunteer in 1993 and later became an academic hourly, and then Extension Program Coordinator when that position was created. Nancy has been managing these programs for 26 years. Nancy is passionate about providing gardening, agriculture and natural resources programming to all residents of Will County, and teaches how nature and agriculture affects everyone on a daily basis. And she is particularly interested in providing programs to the underserved urban youth and adult communities, elderly in congregate housing and those with disabilites.
Nancy received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Nancy also has received Professional Development Graduate Certificates in Horticulture and Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
