Shannon Pulliam has been an integral part of the University of Illinois Extension since 2015 and currently serves as an office support assistant in Massac County. She began her career in Johnson County as a food power program coordinator, overseeing a grant-based initiative focused on nutrition education. After the program concluded, she transitioned back to her hometown, working in the local school system for several years.

In September 2020, Pulliam returned to Extension as a community outreach worker in Union County, where she developed and facilitated impactful community programs. Her passion for outreach led her to Williamson County, where she expanded her role by working on a diverse range of community programs, further strengthening local engagement and support.

Pulliam resides in McCracken County with her husband, three sons, a dog, and a flock of chickens. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and is a dedicated supporter of youth wrestling, often found in the gym cheering on her children.
