Shelby Crow joined Illinois Extension in 2006. She first served as a Community and Economic Development Program Coordinator, and then Community and Economic Development Educator. She began her role as County Director, serving Adams, Brown, Hancock, Pike and Schuyler counties in 2018.

Crow graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts, Communication degree in 1998 and a Master of Science, Recreation, Park & Tourism Administration with a focus on Community Tourism in 1999.

She has been active in Regional and State Committees within Extension. She is currently a member of the Field Staff Executive Advisory Committee, and recently served as chair of the Region 2 Advisory Committee. Additionally, she belongs to the Illinois Association of Community Development Extension Professionals and Epsilon Sigma Phi.

Shelby lives with her husband, Tom and their three children, Taylor, Nolan and Lexi in rural Adams county.
