April Knoblett leads a group of dedicated 4-H volunteers and works to shape, educate, lead, and encourage young people to become successful citizens. She joined Illinois Extension in 2015 as the 4-H Program Coordinator in Crawford County, where she began her 4-H career.

April is a 12-year completion member where she showed swine and sheep, winning Grand Champion Market Wether in her final year. Before that, she received Reserve Grand Champion for many years. She was involved in 4-H before she could walk because her mother was a club leader and Extension Council member. April has been a 4-H club leader since 2010.

She resides in Palestine, where her husband and children run a small meat goat operation. They have received Grand Champion Market Doe at the Illinois State fair in 2019, 2020, and 2021, as well as many class and division winners at the local, state, and national levels.   Away from Extension, April attends goat shows across the country with her children and attends their various sporting events.
