The 16th Annual Kankakee County Beekeeping Workshop will be held at Kankakee Community College, 100 College Dr., Kankakee IL 60901 on Saturday, March 7, 2020 - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm
Buzz with us for a dynamic 6-hour beekeeping workshop at our educational forum in Kankakee! Whether you are new to beekeeping or have some experience, you are sure to experience something new. Master Beekeepers and others who have extensive beekeeping experience will lead workshops.
During the workshop, we will:
- Cover the importance of honeybees and relevant beekeeping topics such as beekeeping equipment, hive placement, life inside the hive, pest & disease management, honey harvesting, and preparing to spring into spring.
- View a few demonstrations – inspecting the hive, extracting honey, equipment
- End with an informative Q & A session
Cost per participant is $25 per person or $40 per couple (includes lunch and handouts).
Register by March 4, 2020.
A minimum number of participants are needed to hold the event.
