Xeriscaping

Join Champaign County Master Gardeners and University of Illinois Extension on Tues., March 22, 2022 at 7 p.m. online for a program about Xeriscaping with Extension Educator Chris Enroth.

Xeriscaping is a series of landscape design principles that focus on conserving water.  In this presentation, we will discuss the 7 principles including:

• Planning and designing a low water usage space in your yard
• Soil amendment tips
• Efficient irrigation techniques
• Appropriate plant selections for water-wise zones
• How mulch can help conserve water and reduce weeds
• Alternatives to turf grass
• Maintenance techniques
