Need space to grow? Applications are now available for the 2022 growing season at the Monticello Area Community Garden. Dig in this summer and grow your favorite vegetables, herbs, and flowers at the community garden. Join us for a Monticello Area Community Garden Kick-Off Meeting to learn about the garden guidelines, organic planting methods and how to apply.  Dig in and grow your favorite fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers this summer!

Garden Fees

  • Half plot: 12’ x 12’ - $20 annually (plus $15 deposit for new gardeners)
  • Full plot: 12’ x 24’ - $35 annually (plus $15 deposit for new gardeners)

Season Open/Close
May 1 – October 15 

To reserve a plot, register above and mail a signed Community Garden Sublease to Piatt County Extension, 210 S Market St., Monticello, IL 61856.

The garden is a partnership between Kirby Medical Center, the City of Monticello and University of Illinois Extension in Piatt County.
