Best Small(ish) Shrubs for the Home Landscape

Join Champaign County Master Gardeners and University of Illinois Extension for a program on Tues., Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. via zoom or in person for a presentation titled "Best Small(ish) Shrubs for the Home Landscape" with Dyke Barkley, Horticulture Advisor, Lake Land College.

In this presentation you will learn:

  • How to select a good mix of flowering and ornamental shrubs that will successfully grow in the Midwest.
  • About common and more unusual shrubs.
  • Maintenance of shrubs and how to prevent leading cause of problems.
  • The definition of 'Hardiness' as it relates to plant selection.
