4-H Horse projects and activities provide an interactive, hands-on way for youth to explore raising and showing horses while developing life skills. These projects are designed to provide youth an opportunity to handle, care for, and ride horses and learn about the equine industry. 4-H members may own or lease a horse for this project. 

Lee County 4-H offers horse clinics in May. Youth will learn more about showmanship, horsemanship, pleasure, and driving. 4-H members must attend a clinic or have proof of lessons to show at the county 4-H show.  If you are unable to bring your horse, please call the Lee County Extension Office at least 24 hours prior to the class.  All riders must wear a helmet.
