Join us for Hiking Day 1 of 3 at Rock Springs!
In this part, kids will learn about proper hiking methods while focusing on bird watching and locating popular regional birds!
We will meet at the Nature Center and take a one-hour hike with amature birder Eric Eickmeier. The hike departs promptly at 9:15 am. Wear comfortable shoes. The hike will be on maintained trails. Please bring a bottle of water, insect repellent, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes and socks.
This program is a great series filled with opportunities to get kids outside and in touch with the outdoors and experience some basic skill sets that can be beneficial for a lifetime like:
- Fishing
- Vegetable Gardening
- Natural Resources
- Shooting a bow and arrow.
Each participant will receive a passport where youth can add their photo and also have it stamped at each part of the series they participate in!

**All sections of this program are free, except for the July 20 date. There is a $7 fee due at the time of registration, with a maximum of $20 per family.
Youth ages 5 - 18 are welcome!
*note youth ages 5-7 must be accompanied by an adult
