Join us for Hiking Day 2 of 3 at Sand Creek Conservation Area! 
 
In this part, kids will learn about proper hiking methods while exploring a stream of water! Activities will involve Tree ID and learning about different wildlife habitats.
 
The hike departs promptly at 9:15 am. Wear comfortable shoes. The hike will be on maintained trails. Please bring a bottle of water, insect repellent, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes and socks. 
 
This program is a great series filled with opportunities to get kids outside and in touch with the outdoors and experience some basic skill sets that can be beneficial for a lifetime like:
 
  •  Fishing
  •  Vegetable Gardening
  •  Natural Resources
  •  Shooting a bow and arrow.
 
Each participant will receive a passport where youth can add their photo and also have it stamped at each part of the series they participate in!
 
This program is part of a series with multiple dates and times. For information on each part of the series click on each date. 
 
GARDENING:
  • Day 1 of 2 | June 27 | 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM
  • Day 2 of 2 | August 8 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM 

HIKING:
  • Day 1 of 3 | July 9 | 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • Day 3 of 3 | August 1 | 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM 

FISHING:
  • Day 1 of 5 | July 16 | 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Day 2 of 5 | July 18 | 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Day 3 of 5 | July 20 | 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Day 4 of 5 | July 22 | 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Day 5 of 5 | July 24 | 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM

**All sections of this program are free, except for the July 20 date. There is a $7 fee due at the time of registration, with a maximum of $20 per family.

Youth ages 5 - 18 are welcome!
