Join us for Fishing Day 5 of 5 at the Bement Forest Preserve Park!
In this part, kids will learn the basics of fishing. Show up at any time between 7:30 and 10 am to fish!
Have your own gear? Bring it with you! No gear? No worries! Fishing poles, tackle, and worms will be provided for those who do not have their own. Whether you've never fished before or consider yourself a pro, come out and test your skills!
Fishing is for ages 6-18 years old, 5-7 year olds must have an adult present. A fishing license is required for those 16 and older.
Please bring a bottle of water, insect repellent, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes and socks.
This program is a great series filled with opportunities to get kids outside and in touch with the outdoors and experience some basic skill sets that can be beneficial for a lifetime like:
- Fishing
- Vegetable Gardening
- Natural Resources
- Shooting a bow and arrow.
Each participant will receive a passport where youth can add their photo and also have it stamped at each part of the series they participate in!

FISHING:
- Day 1 of 5 | July 16 | 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Day 2 of 5 | July 18 | 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM
- Day 3 of 5 | July 20 | 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Day 4 of 5 | July 22 | 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM
**All sections of this program are free, except for the July 20 date. There is a $7 fee due at the time of registration, with a maximum of $20 per family.
Youth ages 5 - 18 are welcome!
*note youth ages 5-7 must be accompanied by an adult
