Harvesting and preserving flowers from your garden is a great way to enjoy them year-round. Flowers can be preserved by drying or pressing and can be used in many ways in your home and garden. At this workshop, participants will learn about the flowers that work best for preservation and the different methods of flower preservation.

Join University of Illinois Extension Program Coordinator Nikki Keltner for a Flower Preservation Workshop. This program is being held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, at the Jo Daviess County Extension Office, 204 N. Vine Street, Elizabeth, IL 61028. There is a $10 fee to attend the class, and pre-registration is required. As part of the workshop, participants will use preserved flowers to make a pressed flower bookmark and sachet to take home with them. To register or for more information, visit us online at go.illinois.edu/jsw or call the Extension Office at 815-858-2273.

All of the supplies needed for this program will be supplied for you.
