Lee County 4-H and Dixon-based Sewer Equipment are partnering to offer the Future Designers Workshop, a unique opportunity for kids aged 10-18 to explore the world of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) design and printing. This workshop, scheduled for December 12, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Lee County Extension Office in Amboy, will give participants the chance to learn valuable skills while expressing their creativity in an exciting, interactive environment.

At the Future Designers Workshop, participants will learn the basics of digital design and 3D printing. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, youth will use 3D design software to create their own models and watch them come to life with a 3D printer during the session. Whether your child is a tech enthusiast or simply curious about design, this hands-on experience will ignite their imagination and provide skills they can use now and in the future. By diving into 2D and 3D design, participants will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills that are essential for thriving in school and future careers.

This workshop also provides a chance to learn about cutting-edge technology that is revolutionizing industries such as engineering, architecture, healthcare and manufacturing. These are fields where 3D design and printing skills are in high demand.

This hands-on experience is appropriate for youth of all skill levels, whether they are just starting to explore technology or already have an interest in engineering design. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and create!

Spaces are limited. The workshop is free for 4-H members and just $5 per child for non-4-H members.
