Discover how the gentle, flowing movements of Tai Chi can help ease arthritis pain and stiffness while improving balance and overall well-being. Join Illinois Extension Family Life Educator Kara Schweitzer for the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program this fall.

As we age, the risk of falling increases—and falls can lead to serious injuries. Research shows that Tai Chi is one of the most effective ways to reduce that risk. It’s also widely recommended by medical professionals as a safe, low-impact exercise that enhances muscular strength, flexibility, and fitness—particularly for those with arthritis.

Illinois Extension is proud to offer this series of classes in Lee County this fall. Don’t miss this opportunity to move more freely, feel stronger, and stay safer.

Sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Winifred Knox Memorial Library-Franklin Grove Public Library, 112 S. Elm St., Franklin Grove IL, on the following dates: Sept. 8, Sept. 10, Sept. 15, Sept. 17, Sept. 24 ; Oct. 1, Oct. 6, Oct. 8, Oct. 13, Oct. 15, Oct 29; Nov. 3, Nov. 5, Nov. 12; Dec. 1, Dec. 3.

Each session builds on what has already been learned, so registration includes the full duration of this 16-session program. Commitment to the full program is recommended due to the class format.
