Hancock County 4-H Archery introduces youth to safe archery practices while building confidence, focus, and hands‑on skills. Youth learn proper stance, aim, and technique with guidance from certified instructors.

Who can participate?

  • Open to current 4-H members
    • Youth not currently enrolled in 4-H interested in archery should contact Madeline Davis at mdavis13@illinois.edu
  • No prior experience needed. Beginners and returning archers are welcome

Session dates and time:

  • March 11, 18, 25, and April 1
  • All sessions run from 6:30 to 7:30 PM
  • Attendance encouraged for all four sessions, as each week builds upon the skills learned previously

What to bring:

  • Participants may bring their own bow, or use the bows and arrows provided
  • Closed-toe shoes

Safety:

This program is led by certified 4-H archery instructors with a strong emphasis on safety, proper technique, and supervised practice.
