November is National Diabetes Month! Eating well is a powerful tool for managing diabetes, but a common question asked by people diagnosed with diabetes is, "What can I eat?" A diet to manage diabetes does not have to be difficult, and there is no need to prepare special foods.

Learn about the role of carbohydrates in diabetes management and how to develop a manageable meal plan that fits your lifestyle. This class also includes recipes and hands-on practice making and tasting a variety of diabetes-friendly dishes. Some that will work super well for the upcoming holiday season! This class is good for anyone who has pre-diabetes, diabetes, or a family or friend living with diabetes.

This class is offered at no cost, but we ask you to register with Brandi Crawford, Director of Nursing, by calling 618-635-4218 or emailing crawfordb@stauntonhospital.org.

The class will take place in the Board Room of the Community Hospital of Staunton.
