DIXON, IL — The highly anticipated annual Kids and K-9’s SPIN Club is back for another exciting year of canine companionship and skill-building! Lee County 4-H is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for this unique opportunity where youth and their furry friends can delve into the thrilling worlds of rally, agility, obedience, and showmanship. The deadline for registration is February 3.

The Kids and K-9’s SPIN Club invites youth to join a series of engaging sessions from February through June. For those interested in showcasing the impressive skills they've honed throughout the program, the Multi-County Dog Show, June 29, is a great place to show their skills.

To qualify for the Multi-County Dog Show, participants must attend at least six obedience training sessions, ensuring they receive ample training and guidance to excel in their chosen disciplines. The program focuses on skill development and emphasizes responsible pet ownership, empathy, and teamwork.

"I'm excited to see the growth and camaraderie that unfolds each year in Kids and K-9’s. This club provides a unique opportunity for youth to bond with their dogs while developing essential life skills through fun and interactive training activities," says Katie Baker, Lee County 4-H Program Coordinator.
