Vermilion County 4-H animal shows celebrate youth achievement

Georgetown, Ill - Vermilion County 4-H livestock exhibitors showcased months of dedication, responsibility, and hard work during the 2026 Livestock Show at the Georgetown Fair. Youth competed across a wide variety of species, including beef, swine, sheep, goats, horses, poultry, rabbits, dogs, small pets, and dairy goats, demonstrating outstanding animal care, showmanship, and knowledge.

The livestock show is a testament to the countless hours 4-H members invest in caring for and training their animals while developing leadership, responsibility, and confidence both in and out of the show ring. Congratulations to all of the Vermilion County 4-H livestock exhibitors on an outstanding fair and to those recognized with top honors across their respective species. A sincere thank you to our judges, superintendents, volunteers, Extension staff, families, and supporters whose dedication and generosity make these experiences possible. Your commitment helps provide meaningful opportunities for our youth to learn, grow, and succeed through the 4-H program.
