Holly Froning is the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Program Coordinator for Kankakee County. Holly has been with Illinois Extension for 27 years and has served in three counties.

Holly's goal is to work with both youth and adults to learn about plants the environment and gardening.  She provides leadership for local Master Gardeners and Master Naturalist who volunteer their time to horticulture education in the community and schools. Holly and the Master Gardeners provide high-quality based education on a variety of topics from Edible Trails to straw bale gardening.  

Originally from Rockton Illinois, Holly received her Bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point. Holly has a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science. She has experience with community gardens, urban farms, and running a small landscaping company. With Holly's multiple years of experience and passion for horticulture, her programs are educational and entertaining.
