Heather Coyle, MBA, serves as the County Director in Boone, DeKalb, and Ogle counties.
Coyle has served cooperative extension in various capacities since 2004, joining the current counties in May 2018. Her University of Illinois Extension career began in Whiteside County, where she delivered programming related to Nutrition and Health, Personal Finance, Chronic Disease Self-Management (CDSMP), and Community Economic Development. As a Visiting CED Educator, she focused on local government education, and youth retention, and served on both the CADS and Live Well Be Well flagship cohorts. She has served as an evaluator for the 21st Century After School Grant and as academic support for the state-wide programming “Illinois Pathways to Health” and “Illinois Health Care Reform Initiative.” In other capacities, Coyle was the Clinton County Director for Iowa State Extension, Central Services Administrator for Whiteside County Courthouse, Business Instructor for Skills, Inc., and academic advisor for Liberty University Online and Sauk Valley Community College. Coyle is a native of LaSalle, Peru, and a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laud.
