Do you love nature and take pictures but are never satisfied with the outcome? Join Naturalists Michael Jeffords and Susan Post for a program on March 23, 2022 at 6 pm at Shannon Bayou in Aroma Park.

Naturalists Michael Jeffords and Susan Post have spent nearly 50 years exploring the wild places in Illinois. From the southern swamps nestled deep in Southern Illinois to the rugged outcrops characterizing northwestern Illinois, they have located and photographed a large part of the charismatic wildflower flora of our state. Both are retired entomologists from the Prairie Research Institute, Illinois Natural History Survey, and University of Illinois. Collectively they have authored six books, ranging from A Field Guide to Illinois Butterflies to Hiking Illinois. Join Michael and Susan as they explore many of the last remaining wild places in Illinois. Come for a lively presentation and learn tips and tricks to photographing wildflowers.

This program is co-sponsored by University of Illinois Extension and Kankakee River Valley Forest Preserve District. The event will take place at Shannon Bayou, 3301 S. Waldron Rd, Aroma Park, Illinois at 6:00 pm. There is no fee for this event.
