Join the University of Illinois Extension & the Kankakee Valley Forest Preserve District for a morning of family fun, all about bats!

Are you afraid of bats? You shouldn't be! Bats are an amazing animal to have in your backyard - in fact, you should encourage them to come!

Led by Kankakee County Master Gardener Coordinator Holly Froning and the Kankakee Valley Forest Preserve District, Family Day at Shannon Bayou is a great place to learn all about bats, complete some great activities, and have fun with the whole family!

This event is free, but pre-registration is required by October 22 and is limited to the first 20-attendies!

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact froning@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
