4-H Environmental Careers Panel with the Morton Arboretum

Wednesday, Feb. 15 | 5-6 p.m. | via Zoom

Does your youth love the outdoors? Are they concerned about helping the environment? Did you know they can turn those interests into a career path or a volunteer opportunity?

Join us for an informative and engaging career panel with three staff members from the Morton Arboretum who will discus their nature-based jobs and career journeys. Hear from Natalie Burgos, Outreach Assistant for the Chicago Region Trees Initiative and Plant Clinic, Emma Leavens, Research Coordinator at the Experimental Prairie, and Alex Horvath, Conservation Corps Program Assistant. Participants in this free online seminar will learn about roles at the Arboretum, the training and education required for their jobs, and other opportunities available in conservation, environmental science, forestry, and ecology.  Also find out about internship and volunteer opportunities available for students!

Designed for ages 8-18. No cost to participate. Registration is required.
