4-H Project "Try It" Day

Jan. 4, 2025 | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. | DuPage County Fairgrounds

Ages: 5-14 (as of 9/1/24)

Meets: Jan. 4, 2025 | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Check-in at 9:45 a.m.)

Location: DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton 

Explore 4-H project areas with FOUR different hands-on learning stations, and create and bring home cool stuff! This event is great for:

  • Anyone new to 4-H who wants to explore different project areas
  • Current 4-H families who want to try new things
  • Families looking for a fun activity for winter break

Expected topics: 

  • Animal/Vet Science
  • Creative Arts
  • Environmental Science
  • STEM

How it works:

  • 9:45-10 a.m. | Check in
  • 10 a.m. to noon | Interactive Learning Stations
    • Ages 8+ will do fun, hands-on activity stations together
    • Ages 5-7 also will do fun, age-appropriate stations (parents/guardians are welcome to stay with this age group)
  • noon to 12:30 p.m. | Lunch
    • Youth participants and their parents/guardians can join us for a pizza lunch
    • Plus, get to know 4-H staff and volunteers, ask questions, and learn more about 4-H in DuPage, Kane, or Kendall counties
    • Join us for service opportunities before and after the sessions, too! 

Cost to participate: $25* per youth participant (includes a pizza lunch for youth and parents/guardians)

  • *Early bird $5 discount if registered by Dec. 16
  • If you have more than three youth in your household who plan to participate, contact our team to see if a discount is available.

Registration required via ZSuite. Space may be limited. No need to be a 4-H member to participate.
