Winter can be an amazing time to visit the Kane County Forest Preserves! University of Illinois Extension and the IDNR invite you to explore the Grunwald Farm Forest Preserve where you will learn the basics of ice fishing. Youth and adult chaperones will learn safety, ice fishing tips and tricks, and about aquatic ecosystems and organisms. All supplies will be provided. We ask that one adult chaperone stay with the youth attendee. Youth and adult chaperones should dress in winter-weather protective gear and be ready to be outside in the elements for the duration of the event.
