Join us for 4-H Super Saturday!
All 4-H members ages 5-18 are invited to participate. Cost is $15 per participant. Participants are asked to register by Friday, March 8. Class sizes will be limited so early registration is encouraged.
4-H Super Saturday will be held Saturday, March 22 at the Adams County Extension Office, 330 S. 36th Street, Quincy. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. The workshop will run from 9 AM - Noon.
4-H members will have the opportunity to explore up to three different project areas and participate in hands-on activities. Sessions for the project workshop include: Cloverbud Fun, Blast Off Basics, Knots of Fun, Picture Perfect, From Scratch to Scrumptious, Gears and Gadgets, Green Thumbs, Rocks Rule, Buzzing Bees, and Leather Impressions.
Class Descriptions:
- Cloverbud Fun - Ages 5 - 7 | 4-H members will engage in hands-on activities that encourage participation, learning and teamwork. Games, crafts and snack will all be included in the Cloverbud fun!
- Blast off Basics - Ages 8+ | Discover the science behind rockets and explore the physics of flight while you take your curiosity to new heights! This session will be two sessions combined.
- Knots of Fun - Ages 8+ | Learn the art of macramé in this hands-on workshop. Master the knots, weave your creativity, and create stunning designs to take home!
- Picture Perfect - Ages 8+ | Discover the art of photography! From framing stunning portraits to capturing breathtaking nature shots, unleash your creative eye while learning more about your own camera!
- From Scratch to Scrumptious - Ages 8+ | Dive into the world of baking and nutrition! Learn how to make a pie crust while discovering the wholesome ingredients that make it tasty and nutritious.
- Gears & Gadgets - Ages 8+ | Learn to build and control robots while unlocking the secrets of engineering and coding. Bring your ideas to life in this fun workshop!
- Green Thumbs - Ages 8+ | Plant the seeds of success! Learn how to start and maintain a thriving vegetable garden while understanding the science behind plant growth.
- Rocks Rule - Ages 8+ | From common stones to dazzling crystals, dive into the science of geology. Learn to classify rocks and how to build a collection that "rocks"!
- Buzzing Bees - Ages 8+ | Explore the world of honeybees and beekeeping! Learn how to manage a hive, protect pollinators, and harvest sweet rewards.
- Leather Impressions - Ages 8+ | Dive into leather art and learn to craft one-of-a-kind items! From stamping to tooling, this workshop will teach you the basics of leatherwork.
