4-H Green Communities Tree Planting Project in partnership with Kane-DuPage Soil and Water Conservation District
Over the last few years, Illinois 4-H has partnered with Soil and Water Conservation Districts to plant oak trees in dozens of counties across the state each spring and we need YOUR help again! We will be planting fire-resistant, native oak species in public spaces where the community can enjoy the benefits. These 25-tree savannas will help rebuild our native ecosystems, 3/4 of an acre at a time.
- Help the environment and your community
- Gain service hours for your school and/or a state activity for 4-H records
- Build a legacy for future generations to enjoy
Join us:
- 8 a.m. to noon Friday, April 4
- Johnson's Mound Forest Preserve, 41W600 Hughes Rd, Elburn, IL 60119
A few important notes:
- An adult/parent/guardian will need to be present for youth under 16.
