JOLIET, Ill - Connecting with family and community is vital for thriving youth - but good quality family events that check all the boxes is hard to find.  It's either too expensive, not local, or simply not interesting.  That's all changing with Joliet's Fall Into 4-H Family Event, a good old-fashioned harvest festival that is just good fun for the whole family from University of Illinois Extension.

Hosted in Joliet on October 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Fall into 4-H is free and perfect for the whole family – join us and spend some quality time with family and friends.  The event will be hosted at 100 Manhattan Rd in Joliet.

Led by Illinois Extension 4-H, the event will consist of over 10+ educational stations including animals, creative writing contest, arts and crafts stations, bb-gun range, and so much more!  There is something for everyone.  After spending some time going through each station, families can enjoy lunch or dinner out with our onsite food truck (yes, we’re bringing in a food truck!) – food is at your own expense courtesy of Joey's Red Hots.

4-H has a track record for growing true leaders - youth who are empowered for life today and prepared for a career tomorrow. This is due to the over 100+ projects available to youth - from creative writing to aerospace, animal sciences to robotics.  The hands-on approach in 4-H gives young people guidance, tools, and encouragement, and then puts them in the driver’s seat to make great things happen.

There is so much to enjoy at Fall into 4-H – you won’t want to miss it.  No registration, just come on out.
