Share Your Story with Free Writing Workshop Series in Urbana

URBANA, Ill – Do you have a story waiting to be told? This workshop is your chance to share your story, even if you’ve never written before.

Join Family Life Educator Emily Harmon for Life’s Moments: From Memory to Legacy at Salt & Light. Classes will be located at the storefront adjacent to the Salt & Light Store (1819 Philo Rd., Urbana, IL, 61802) every Thursday afternoon starting February 5. 

Participants will be guided through fun writing activities designed to help writers find their voice and build their confidence as they translate their life story to the written page. Participants will also have the opportunity to record their stories at WILL Radio Station and submit them to the Library of Congress. 

Sessions will take place from noon to 1 PM every Thursday from February 5 to March 26. Lunch will also be provided at 11:30 AM, with class starting at noon.
