University of Illinois Extension to Host Free Two-Part Digital Skills Series for Older Adults

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — University of Illinois Extension is pleased to announce a free, two-part series designed to help older adults gain confidence and practical skills in using the internet and social media. These welcoming sessions will be held at the Champaign County Public library’s Robeson Pavilion Room C, located at 200 W Green St, Champaign, IL 61820.

Whether you're new to digital technology or simply looking to enhance your online experience, this series offers step-by-step instruction in a supportive environment. A digital literacy expert will be on hand during both sessions to answer questions and provide one-on-one assistance.

Session 1: Exploring the Internet
Tuesday, May 13 | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Learn the basics of using the internet safely and effectively—from browsing websites to using search engines.

Session 2: Social Media Basics
Thursday, May 15 | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Get an introduction to popular social media platforms and learn how to connect with friends and family online.
