Andrea Wheeler joined Illinois Extension in October 2024 as part of the SNAP-Ed program. In her role, Andrea provides nutrition education in our communities including interactive programs promoting physical activity for all ages. She also provides resources for making the most of the money that families have available for food. Andrea especially enjoys working with children and helping them learn tools for living healthy lives.  

In her free time, Andrea enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her children, Zane and Simi. During the summer, she enjoys gardening and hiking.
