Sarah Fellerer serves as the Program Coordinator for Kendall County Master Gardeners, the Kendall Rainfall Network, and for Master Naturalists of DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties.

Sarah organizes horticultural and environmental programs, workshops, and activities that address community needs and issues. Using a network of highly trained volunteers, we strive to extend researched knowledge to the public and assist in making decisions that protect and improve our community and environment.

She has a degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and has been a Certified U of I Extension Master Naturalist since 2009. She became a program coordinator in 2011 and currently manages about 250 volunteers.

  • The Master Naturalists program provides science-based educational opportunities that connect people with nature and help them become engaged environmental stewards.
  • Master Gardeners answer homeowner’s garden and landscape questions. Master Gardeners also reach into the communities with service projects in partnership with local organizations.
  • The Kendall Rainfall Network has been recording daily rainfall around the county for 30 years. Rainfall reports are provided to local news media.
