Sheila Miller joined Extension in 2018, as a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) Community Worker through the Illinois Nutrition Education Program (INEP). SNAP-Ed provides evidence-based programs focused on nutrition education and obesity prevention by promoting positive health behavior changes.

Sheila loves to work with area children, adults, and families from community partners such as area eligible schools, daycare centers, food pantries, and county health departments.  Her work helps to impact community members where they live, learn, eat, shop, and play so healthier choices will become the easier choices to make with practice.

Sheila grew up and currently lives in Dixon, IL with her husband and youngest son.  Her oldest son and daughter in law reside in Indiana.  She enjoys volunteering in the community, cooking for friends and family, and spoiling her grand dog Ryder.
