Katie McFarland joined University of Illinois Extension in 2022 after spending four years in the classroom as a drama teacher for grades K through 8. As the 4-H Education Enrichment Program Coordinator for Kendall, Kane, and DuPage counties, Katie collaborates with school districts, teachers, and community leaders to enhance curriculum and provide a variety of hands-on learning opportunities. 

Katie earned her bachelor of arts degree from New York University and has worked with youth in various capacities much of her career. She loves watching young minds be challenged and grow, and she is excited about the variety of programs and projects 4-H offers. In her spare time, Katie continues her involvement in theater and teaches private piano lessons.
