Have you ever wanted to write about your experiences as a Master Naturalist for publication, but been unsure how to start or what to include?  Perhaps you have jotted down your experiences in your journal and thought you’d like to share your experience with a larger audience, but weren’t sure of your writing skills. In this class, we will examine audiences and purposes for writing about nature.  In addition, we will look at effective openings, sentence construction considerations, and practice writing descriptively so that you can feel confident writing for a variety of publications. Bring your writing supplies/tools.

This class is taught by Judy Pece, who is a Master Naturalist. Judy holds a BA in English and American Literature and Written Communications from Blackburn College taught writing at Urbana Middle School for 21 years and served for three years as a Teacher Consultant with the University of Illinois Writing Project.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
