East Central Illinois Master Naturalists present this free webinar with the help of the Champaign County Camera Club member Ray Silva. In this presentation, Ray will review some techniques for you to practice. He suggests that you try each of his techniques for a week, in any order. The next week, pick the another. You’ll find that after you’ve done a few weeks of this you will be a lot happier with your photography.

About our Speaker: Ray Silva is a member of the Champaign County Camera Club. His subject matter is primarily nature: traditional landscapes, wildlife or flowers. Capturing the light is everything.  Where it is not controlled in nature, it is experienced. Being in the moment, challenges him to expose for the reflections of light off the subject in a way the composition is an expression of a moment in time. For him, photography has been a lifelong passion.  Many artists study in formal classroom settings while others claimed to be self-taught. he cannot claim to be from either camp, but a combination of some formal training, workshops, seminars, reading and studying works of many published and exhibited artists along with trial and error.
