Become a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener
Online Training begins January 31, 2022 Applications due September 30th, 2021
This online course is taught by Illinois Extension horticulture educators and includes modules on Botany, Soils, Fertilizers, Woody Plants, Vegetable Gardening, Fruits, Insects, Turf, Plant Pathology, Pesticides, Organics, Native Plants and more. 3 or 4 on-site workshops will be held at University of Illinois Extension Lake County office in Grayslake.
Master Gardeners Educate: Master Gardeners educate by answering homeowners gardening questions, working with community garden volunteers, giving presentations and more
No Need to be an Expert: You need an interest in gardening, some time to volunteer in the community and a desire to share your knowledge
