4-H STEM Spectacular

Tuesday, April 26, 2022 | 5 to 8:30 p.m.
Kane County Fairgrounds | Robinson Hall

Registration now open!

Explore STEM through a variety of fun, hands-on activities where youth will design, build, and test solar cars, paper roller coasters, and paper bridges.

  • 5 to 6 p.m. | Solar cars will be built and tested through a Solar Sprint
  • 6 to 7 p.m. | Paper construction (roller coasters or bridges)
  • 7 p.m. | Start testing strength of the paper coasters and bridges

Designed for youth ages 8-18. No need to be a 4-H member to participate. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Youth will participate in teams of two. (You can plan to participate with a sibling, meet up with a friend, or we'll help you meet a partner at the event). All youth participants must register individually for this event. Adults do not need to register but must accompany youth for the evening.

Throughout the event, youth also will have an opportunity to participate in the 2022 4-H Ag Innovator Experience, discovering innovative technologies, tools, and methods used by farmers to feed the world sustainably. Plus, they can learn more about 4-H programs in DuPage, Kane, and Kendall counties.

Register here. Registration is required. Space is limited. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, contact the event coordinator. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
