Diane Reinhold, University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator, will discuss how to build healthy connections and healthy meals at Mastering the Slow Cooker, a program held at the Stephenson County Senior Resource Center, 206 E Stephenson St, Freeport, IL, on Friday, October 3, from 1 to 3 p.m.

During this program, we will cover slow cooker basics, such as selecting the correct size and shape to make the most of your cooking time, and the best time to add various ingredients to maximize the taste and texture of foods. We will also discuss food safety, have a taste test, and leave you with recipes to try at home.

Don’t miss this fun and informative opportunity to connect with others and brush up on your slow cooker skills. Reserve your spot today for Mastering the Slow Cooker by calling U of I Extension at (815) 235-4125 or visiting us online at go.illinois.edu/slow-cooker.
