In this hands-on class, you’ll learn safe, up-to-date methods for canning, freezing, and drying tomatoes. We’ll cover how to make and can fresh salsa, when to use water bath versus pressure canning, and simple ways to get the best results from freezing and dehydrating. You’ll practice making and water bath canning a homemade chile salsa, take home research-based recipes, and leave with the confidence to preserve every last tomato.
A $10 fee covers all supplies. An adult must accompany any youth under the age of 16.
